I am pleased to introduce the Master of Teaching (MTeach) in Digital Education, newly
established under the Department of ICT Education. This program is designed to advance
expertise in the principles and practices of digital education, equipping graduates to create
technology-enhanced teaching and learning environments, develop digital content, identify
effective pedagogy and assessment strategies, and conduct educational research tailored to
specific needs.
The MTeach in Digital Education builds upon a strong theoretical foundation in ICT
education, grounded in a collaborative and interactive approach that integrates theories of
cognitive development, digital pedagogy, and instructional design. The curriculum
emphasizes the application of these principles through innovative, hands-on experiences
that reflect best practices in digital and blended learning models.
A distinctive feature of this program is its emphasis on research as a core component of
professional development. Enrolled professionals will undertake research projects that
address real-world challenges in their educational settings, enabling them to apply
evidence-based solutions to improve learning outcomes. This research component is
designed to strengthen analytical skills while empowering participants to become proactive
problem-solvers in their workplaces, especially within academic institutions.
Furthermore, the program’s interactive and student-centered sessions promote active
engagement through hands-on training, use of learning management systems (LMS), and
exploration of emerging digital tools. Each module encourages critical reflection on the
ethical and effective use of technology, preparing graduates to create inclusive, interactive
learning experiences that support both academic and professional growth.
We are confident that this program will set a new standard in ICT education, contributing
significantly to the advancement of digital teaching practices. We extend our sincere
gratitude to the respected visitors, professionals, and other stakeholders for their support
and invaluable feedback.
Warmest regards,
Professor Dr. Md Kabirul Islam
